2 Year Old

Chipmunks Classroom

Two‑Year‑Old Program (24 Months – 30 Months)

At Educare Daycare, we recognize that children between the ages of 2 and 3 experience rapid growth—often reaching new developmental milestones every six months. Because this stage is full of change, curiosity, and emerging independence, we structure our program to meet children exactly where they are.

To best support this important period of development, we offer two dedicated toddler classrooms, each designed to nurture the unique needs and abilities of children at different stages. This approach allows our teachers to:

• Provide age‑appropriate learning experiences

• Support social and emotional growth at each level

• Encourage independence and self‑help skills

• Foster language development and early communication

• Create a smooth transition as children progress from one milestone to the next

By thoughtfully grouping children and tailoring our curriculum, we ensure that every child receives the guidance, encouragement, and individualized attention they need to thrive.

A warm, engaging environment where independence, curiosity, and early social skills begin to blossom.

🌟 Social & Emotional Development

At this age, children are learning how to interact with others and understand their own feelings. Our program helps them develop:

• Early understanding of right and wrong

• Social skills such as sharing, turn‑taking, and using gentle hands

• Simple problem‑solving and communication with peers

• Sensitivity to others’ feelings

• Kindness and care for small outdoor animal friends

🍽️ Growing Independence & Self‑Help Skills

Two‑year‑olds are eager to do things “all by myself,” and we support that independence through:

• Eating manners

• Using a fork and spoon

• Drinking from a cup

• Cleaning up after activities

• Early potty training using a potty or small toilet

Potty training is a collaborative process. Consistent communication between parents and teachers ensures the best possible success for each child.

🎨 Learning Through Play

Our curriculum introduces a variety of hands‑on, engaging activities that build early learning foundations:

• Storytelling and early literacy experiences

• Picture and name recognition

• Singing, music, and movement

• Simple exercises and gross‑motor play

• Memory‑building activities

• Creative free play that encourages imagination and exploration

During free play, children practice new skills and explore their own ideas in a safe, supportive environment.
