Toddler Program
Our toddler program is divided into two classrooms, to promote the growth and development every 6 months.
Guppies
The Guppies classroom children ages 9-15 months old
Our Guppies Transition Room is designed to give your child a joyful introduction to early learning while helping them ease into a more structured toddler schedule. This classroom blends nurturing care with hands‑on activities that support growth in every developmental area.
Learning Through Music, Movement & Play:
Children in this room enjoy a variety of fun, interactive experiences, including:
• Songs, dances, and movement activities
• Color and shape recognition
• Early number concepts
• Basic sign language
• Creative, age‑appropriate craft projects
Early Cognitive & Fine Motor Development:
We introduce materials and experiences that encourage curiosity and independence, such as:
• Puzzles and simple problem‑solving games
• Coloring and early art exploration
• Block stacking and building activities
• Letter, color, shape, and number recognition
• Story time, music, and dance‑based learning
Transitioning to a Toddler Routine:
This room helps children adjust to a consistent daily schedule. All children follow the same meal and nap routine, with nap time from 12:30–2:30 PM.
Children under one year of age will continue with breast milk or formula until they are developmentally ready for the next step.
Social Skills & Classroom Community:
We focus on helping children learn how to:
• Use good manners
• Share toys and materials
• Build early friendships
• Participate in group activities
• Develop positive interactions with peers
Our goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where every child feels safe, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Ducklings’
The toddler program children ages 15-24 months old.
Our Ducklings Room is designed for children who are confidently on the move, eager to explore, and ready for a more structured daily routine. This classroom provides a warm, engaging environment where children build independence, strengthen early learning skills, and develop positive social habits — all within a predictable, developmentally appropriate schedule.
Daily Learning Through Music, Movement & Play:
Toddlers learn best through hands‑on experiences, and our classroom is filled with opportunities to explore, create, and discover. Each day includes:
• Fun songs, dances, and movement activities
• Color and shape recognition
• Early number concepts
• Introduction to basic sign language
• Creative, age‑appropriate craft projects
These activities support language development, motor skills, and early cognitive growth while keeping learning joyful and engaging.
Building Early Cognitive & Fine Motor Skills:
Our curriculum encourages curiosity and problem‑solving through:
• Puzzles and simple matching games
• Coloring and early art exploration
• Block stacking and building activities
• Letter, color, shape, and number recognition
• Story time, music, and dance‑based learning
These experiences help toddlers strengthen fine motor skills, practice focus, and build confidence through exploration.
Encouraging Independence in Daily Routines:
As toddlers grow, they begin practicing important self‑help skills. In our classroom, children work on:
• Eating with a fork and spoon
• Drinking from an open cup
• Cleaning up toys with guidance
• Washing hands with support
• Beginning to follow simple directions
These routines help children develop independence and prepare for preschool‑style expectations.
Language Development & Early Communication:
Toddlers are beginning to use words, gestures, and simple phrases to express their needs. We support this exciting stage by:
• Modeling clear, simple language
• Encouraging children to use words to communicate
• Naming objects, actions, and emotions
• Using songs, stories, and sign language to build vocabulary
Our teachers create a language‑rich environment that helps children feel understood and confident as they learn to communicate.
A Consistent, Toddler‑Friendly Daily Schedule:
Structure helps toddlers feel secure and ready to learn. Our classroom follows a predictable routine that includes:
• Group learning and play
• Outdoor or gross‑motor time
• Meals and snacks
• Hands‑on learning centers
• Nap time from 12:30–2:30 PM
• Music, movement, and story time
